    1) the only valuable data that it collects is sleep data. the only “insight” you get from this data is a notification that says “you should sleep more, you’re tired” or “you’re caught up on rest,” as if you didn’t know you’re tired / well rested by the way you feel.
    2) the data takes forever to upload, making it a chore to look at your results / insights. compared to an apple watch (only competitor i’m familiar with), which shows you in real time, this limits your ability to track and analyze workouts. if you’re trying to use this product while you workout — forget about it.
    3) there is no monthly membership. it is an annual membership, billed monthly, so if you decide to cancel, you owe them for the rest of the outstanding year (no opportunity to trial the product). this doesn’t make them crooks — but its very misleading when you go to sign up.

    overall, its not the worst product in the world, but its nowhere close to being worth $30 per month. i wouldn’t even pay $5-10 per month for this product. i am very frustrated that i ever bought this product and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone unless you desperately need to know how many minutes of deep sleep you get. 0 star rating.

    i would not recommend the whoop. although it does recognize activity of sleep and exercise i have found the results to be wildly inconsistent. i referred to heart rate during exercise and the corresponding algorithm results for calories burned, hrv, strain etc. i have tested it against other competitive products which has led me to this conclusion. initially the customer support was attentive however when requesting a refund, as i had prepaid, there were crickets. this conversation started several months ago during which i was quite patient however when the refund was requested the correspondence ceased.
