i agree with you. i am on the cohen diet and am very happy. i feel great and decided that i will make this a life choice. i will still be able to eat foods that i like just in a moderate way. dr cohen also states that you must maintain your weight or else you will gain weight again because there is no cure for obisity. so, decide what you want to achieve and stick to it!

once you have reached your goal wieght you do get a refeed program, the refeed increases your portions along with introducing “banned” foods back into your diet. you add something new ever 2-3 days and see how your body reacts to it. alot of people will notice for example that white bread will make them tired or bloated and they should switch to wheat or rye. i did the cohens for 8 weeks and lost 33 pounds last year. i have put back on 15 and plan to use my old plan and refeed program to loose it again. the first 2 weeks are very hard because your going through withdrawls but after that you don’t have the headaches or hunger pains. i know about 12 people who did this diet in australia with wonderful results, and me & my husband did it together. it’s pricey but it works and is so much cheaper than lipo or stomach surgery. plus it is food from the grocery store so you can do it anytime.
