she was also the copy director of allure magazine and has received the time inc. president’s award for outstanding achievement twice.
lisa lived for three years in costa rica and mexico volunteering as an english teacher. after making the decision in 2009 to become vegan, lisa and amy cramer co-authored and published the vegan cheat sheet in 2013. when they reintroduced seafood back into their otherwise plant-based diets, lisa and amy co-wrote seagan eating: the lure of a healthy sustainable seafood + vegan diet, which was published in 2016.
lisa is an avid runner, bicyclist and has completed many triathlons, marathons and century rides.
she grew up at the jersey shore and told herself that she would “never to go back” once she graduated high school.
after graduating high school, she attended bucknell university and then moved to the big apple and latin america, then returned to new jersey. she is currently a marketing consultant but still continues to write.
